Hi,
I have SMS working with my NetXMS installation, but it sends the SMS message three times everytime it sends something (including manually sending from the menu in the console).
It only seems to do this when the SMS modem is on a remote server, using nxagent.sms on the NetXMS server. If I connect the modem directly to the NetXMS server and use generic.sms, it only sends one message via SMS.

Is this a bug? I've tried looking at the agent log with debugging on, and it very clearly sends the message 3 times, but I don't know why.
I can also confirm this is the case with both v1.2.17 and v2.0.3
It's not exactly a deal breaker, but is using my SMS credit three times faster than it should be doing.

All of this is on Windows OS, and all using Huawei E160 modems (I have two different ones).

Thanks,
Mark.

General Support / 2.0-M4 request timed out issues
June 09, 2015, 11:21:31 AM
Since upgrading to 2.0-M4 (directly from 1.2.17), I'm having issues with my NetXMS server on Windows. It now finds some extra ethernet interfaces on the server node (e.g. a loopback pseudo-interface and a Teredo Tunneling pseudo-interface), and immediately raises alarms for them being down. I can change the interface expected state to ignore, but if I try to Terminate the alarms, it just sits there for ages before saying "Terminate alarms has encountered a problem. Cannot terminate alarm: request timed out."
After this, almost nothing works in the console - I can't even open the DCI config for a node (you get the same timed out errors). Restarting the service on the server is the only way to fix it, at which point the extra interfaces get found again (they aren't shown when the console first loads after a server restart), and the cycle begins again.

Also, when restarting the service on the server, even after a fresh reboot of the server, the NetXMS Core service will not stop without giving an error 1053 - "the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion". It does then stop, and seems to start again OK, but it's very annoying when trying to fix the above issue, or even change server config or anything.

If it matters, servers is Windows 2008 R2 SP1.

Hi,

So I've just found NetXMS and wanted to try it out, so I downloaded the x64 1.2.9 server binary for windows and installed it on a win7 pc, but the core service wont start.

After realising that I needed java installed (the 64bit version), as the installer doesn't contain it, I got it installed without errors, but the service starts and stops again. I'm just using the embedded SQLite database.

A bit of googling lead me to try running "C:\netxms\bin\netxmsd -D3" which tells me :
"Your database has format version 288, but server is compiled for version 291"

More googling, and I ran "nxdbmgr upgrade" and I get:
"Upgrading from 288 to 289
SQL query failed (near "DROP": syntax error):
ALTER TABLE dvt_thresholds DROP COLUMN current_state
Rolling back last stage due to upgrade errors...
Database upgrade failed"

All I want to do is see if NetXMS is any good, and I cant even get it installed.
Please help.

Joxta.
