General Support / SNMP Nodes randomly going offline
March 21, 2016, 11:14:29 PM
Well up until today netxms has just work; but today... I am not quite sure what to check to fix it. Nodes are just randomly going offline, despite the fact i can ping the same node and its just fine. And I can also pull data via mtrg without issue so i don't think its the switches.

I also get messages like:
Status of DCI 890 (SNMP: .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.10.129) changed to UNSUPPORTED
Despite the fact it worked yesterday and even 5min ago.

This I think is related to my issue:
Thread "Syncer Thread" is not responding

But i am not sure what to do.

Feature Requests / Sflow / NEtflow
March 14, 2016, 07:39:24 PM
I know there was a few old posts about adding support. Just kinda curious if any progress was made in that regard. And to add my use case for this feature.

It would be very handy in my case to monitor the company edge routers for DDOS attacks.

In this use case basically you need to know the "top talkers" and keep an avg of the packets per sec per ip.
Also maybe the top 3 protocols mail, http, ssh etc..

Currently my solution is not the best, I have another bit of software that sends syslog messages to netxms. For further event processing.

Need less to say theses are not 400tb capable links...

As far as i can tell there is no difrance between the templet a manually assigned smtp varable.
All of my brocade/foundry FLS648s have this issues. What shoudl I look at to try to debug this?

The 2 charts on the right are of the same interface the one lables test is manualy assigned dci and the top one is assigned via templet.

It would be very handy if you could click on parts of a log entry mac or ip address and try to jump to that device/find the port. In the message field as well as the host name field.
(attached pic example)

under tools --> find mac address
mac address seams to require xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx format.
you may also want to suport the following formats
xxxxxxxxxxxx      (rare but i have seen it.)
xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx (windows format)
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx    (brocade/foundry  format)
