Hi, there. five days ago, we did no able to log into the NetXMS server. The NetXMS client sent back the following message: Connection refused. I decided to look up for in the log of the system. I found the following message:


2024.02.14 16:49:51.981 *E* [db.drv            ] SQL query failed (Query = "INSERT INTO alarm_events (alarm_id,event_id,event_code,event_name,severity,source_object_id,event_timestamp,message) VALUES (?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)"): The table 'alarm_events' is full


Any idea how to fix this database issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi, there. We have NetXMS server 4.5.3-1 version and NetXMS client 4.5.3 version. When we tried to login into the server. The client sent back  "Connection refused"

Any idea how to fix this connection issue?

Hi there. I updated both NetXMS server and client with version 4.4.2 However, when I want to use it in no time appeared a popup window with the following message:

Connection with NetXMS server was lost. Press Ok to close application.

I attached a screenshot.

Any idea how I can fix this connection issue?

General / Weird eclipse issue in MacOS 13.5.2

Hi there. I updated the NetXMC server to the 4.4.1-1 version. I did the same with the NetXMC client in MacOS 13.5.2
However, when I tried to connect to the server appeared a pop-up window with the following message:

An error has ocurred
See the log file

/eclipse/
1694720730883.log

I share the first three lines of this file:

java.vendor=Azul Systems, Inc.

However, I installed this Java version in this computer.

$ /usr/libexec/java_home -V

Any idea how can I fix this eclipse issue ?

General / Communication Error in NetXMC server 4.4.1-1

Any idea how to fix this communication issue?

Hi, there. We have installed the 4.4 version of both NetXMC server and client. I can log into the NetXMC client without no problem. But, after a short period of time, the NetXMC client sent back the following message: Cannot read measurement unit information. A connection established by the software on your host computer has been aborted.

How can I fix this NetXMC client issue?

Hi, there. I just updated the netxms-sever to 4.4.1-1 version. Then I updated the netxmc client on Ubuntu as well. When I ran this one. It sent back the following error:

"An error has ocurred. See the log file /../../eclipse/1693502639840.log

I opened this log file. But I am not Eclipse expert. Then I did not understand its content. I Add the first 14 lines of it.

General Support / NXMC database best practices

Hi, there. We have been using NXMC system for at least two years. During this period of time, the NXMC  database has increased its tables size. So far on this forum I do not find any clue how to handle this database tables size. Any idea how we can apply NXMC database best practice.Any comment is welcome Thanks in advance.

Hi, there. We decided to move our production NetXMS server to a new computer server. With this idea in mind. I did the following:


1. backed up the database file of the production NetXMS server.
2. In the new computer server, I installed:

2.1 Ubuntu 20.204
2.3. mysql Ver 15.1 Distrb 10.3.34-MariaDB

3. I moved the backed database to the new computer server

4. I restored the backed database into the new computer server

5. I installed the latest NetXMS server version in to the new computer server
at the final of this procedure appeared the following steps:

Additional steps required:

1. Edit default configuration file (/etc/netxmsd.conf)

2. Load database schema

   nxdbmgr init

3. Start daemon with command:

   systemctl start netxms-server

I omited the step 2. Because, I want to use our current database.

In the step 3, when I executed this command sent back on my end the following message:

Failed to start netxms-server.service: Unit netxms-server.service not found.

I run the following command:

sudo systemctl status netxmsd
● netxmsd.service - NetXMS Server
     Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/netxmsd.service; disabled; vendor preset: enabled)
     Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Thu 2022-06-02 19:25:39 UTC; 18h ago

Hi, there. We are using NetXMC ver. 4.x  We decide to add a Telegram bot service into the netxmc server. But, It doesn't work. Beacuse an image worth than a thousand words. I Attach it

Sequential steps to config the Telegram bot

I created a Telgram bot
Add it into the Notification channels menu option.
Telegram configuration according with the netxmc online documentation
Testing the Telegram channel using the send notification option from the Tools menu
Notification to the Telegram bot has been enqueded. Then the Telegram configuration changed to error status on the Notification channels.

Hi, there. I have the following bug on the NetXMS Management Console version 3.9.178

In pixman_region32_init_rect: Invalid rectangle passed
Set a breakpoint on '_pixman_log_error' to debug

Hey there. I just upgraded netXMS server 3.7 Version 3.7.116 However it has the same problem found in the netXMS server 3.6 Connection with NetXMS server was lost. Press OK to close application. I attached a screenshot.

Any idea how to fix it?

Hey, there. When I upgraded to NetXMS server 3.7 from NetXMS 3.6 the computer screen sent the following message:

Setting up netxms-agent:amd64 (3.7.116-1) ...
Setting up netxms-server:amd64 (3.7.116-1) ...
NetXMS Database Manager Version 3.7.116 Build 3.7-116-g133064d484 (UNICODE)

Upgrading database...
Database is locked

If you want to upgrade netXMS server succesfully, please type:

nxdbmgr unlock

Then

nxdbmgr upgrade

Finally

sudo systemctl start netxmsd

P.S. It works well with Desktop Managment tool 3.6 so far.

Hi, there. We are running netXMS server version 3.6.300. When I use the Desktop Managment Tool in the right bottom section of the its main window appears the following message:

Objects are out of sync

What does it mean?

Do I need to do something on the Desktop Managment tool?

is it a Managment tool configuration issue?

Hey there. We have NetXMS Server Version 3.6.300 in our production server. We have a Classless Addressing network. I have a question related with the invalid network mask alarm that the netXMS server generates.

Is there a way to set on this alarm in the netXMS server?

Any comment or suggestion is wellcome.

Hey, there. I just installed the latest version of NetXMS server and netxms agent, in this case Linux agent on Ubuntu 18.04

With this in mind I decided to add the the Sample agent's configuration file in the nxagentd.conf

I stopped the netXMS server and I restarted. However, I could not to connect to the server. The Desktop Managment tool sent back the following popup window (I attach a screenshot). I checked the status of netXMS server out. In the terminal window sent back the following error.

sudo systemctl status netxmsd

Hey, there. I just updated to the latest netXMS version 2.6.300 on our server. However, after few minutes using it, appeared a popup window with the following message:

Load MIB file on startup has encountered a problem.

Hi, there. I just installed the latest version of netXMS server 3.6 and its Desktop Managment too cause a lot of problems wit connection between. Is there a way to downgrade both apps keeping the database information. Because both are in production.

Any idea.
