General Support / Re: Adding Mib's fails
November 10, 2017, 11:03:59 AM
Ok I have updated to 2.1.2 last night but the issue remains the same, compiler starts but does not
start compiling and just returns to the prompt.
I have done this several times before without problems, hints anyone ?
Is there any logfile where I could possibly find the reason ?

General Support / Adding Mib's fails
November 09, 2017, 05:04:19 PM
Hi @all

Tried to compile new Mib's to my NetXms Server 2.1 but this fails. Tried the following :

D:\NetXMS\bin>nxmibc.exe -z -d d:\netxms\share\mibs -o d:\netxms\var\netxms.mib

NetXMS MIB Compiler  Version 2.1 (2.1-RELEASE)
Copyright (c) 2005-2017 Raden Solutions

D:\NetXMS\bin>

The compiler starts but nothing happens, where am I going wrong ?

General Support / Re: Cannot load MIB file from Server
February 07, 2016, 03:43:39 PM
Thank you Victor

I have tried the suggested step but there seems to be something wrong with some of the Mib's.
I get a error message like this one here :

BN-LOG-MESSAGE-MIB: ERROR 001: Import symbol "bnLogMsg" unresolved

Tried to temporarily remove this Mib from the directory but then the job gets stuck on another
MIb.

Any clue ?

KInd regards

General Support / Cannot load MIB file from Server
January 29, 2016, 12:19:33 PM
Hi @all

Upgraded our NetXMS System to 2.01 which is running on Windows 2012 R2 with XAMPP
and get a error message every time I am opening the console:

Message is :
"Load MIB file on startup" has encountered a problem. Cannot load MIB file from server.
File I/O operation failed ?

Found forum entries that netxms.mip is not in the correct path but I cannot find this
file at all on our system.

Thanks for your help in advance

General Support / How to completely delete a Host ?
August 27, 2015, 09:41:34 PM
HI @ll

My question is how to delete a Node completely from the NetXMS installation ?

The Background : I have two new Avaya ERS 3500 Series Switches and I tried to query/poll Switch 1
with my NetXMS Server but at first the result was poor because the correct MIB's were missing.
I could see just one unknown interface.

Avaya Support has supplied the MIBS and with the help of the guide in the Wiki I could compile them
successfully.

Then I added Switch 2 (SNMP config identical) and I could see all ports, all the topology info and
so on which is really perfect for me.

But : Polling Switch 1 still fails, I see a unknown Interface only and I get polling errors.
Tried to delete Switch 1 from the configuration and restarted the server services and added it
again as a Node which was not successful. Still have polling errors.

Here's a guess : On re-adding as a Node NetXMS has referred to old info about Switch one so
is there a proper to delete the information about this device from the NetXMS Database ?

I am running NetXMS on a Win 20012 R2 Server on PostGRE SQL

Thank you in advance
